HISTORY OF SIXTY-NINTH INFANTRY
The Sixty-Nineth Regiment was organized at Camp Douglas, Chicago, and was mustered into service June 14, 1862. It remained on duty at Camp Douglas, guarding the camp and rebel prisoners.
